Anyone know how to increase the army over the size of around 30 ? have infantry and tanks yet a rebel attack seems to beat them 9/10 times

First you need the econemy to support that many troops.
Basicly:
Income>school>advance infastructer>army.
Asuming you did that:
Make alot of militery job location.
Make sure there are no jobs that require highschool workers and give them so increase cash.
I almost never have problems getting an army.
More militairy bases, camps will increase the size of your army.
You might also wanna check for upgrades for those.
In your constitution you can also make them professionals

I lost a few times because of rebel attack then found out its a good idea to build my Guard towers beside each other. A groupe of 6 in a bunch. This will hold of rebels. Then i build All Army bases beside each other so all troops get to the rebels at the same time instead of them being killed of by the rebels one at a time while waiting for other troops. Also have no education needed to be a soldier on so its easier to recruit soldiers when others die.

I run extra highschools to keep my legions topped off.

I switched to Conscription and spammed barracks everywhere. Basically I killed two birds with one stone: it gave me LOTS of troops AND got rid of the unemployment of the island, which was the cause for most insurgencies.

Save room near your Ports for Military Buildings. Invasions start from the beach by your Ports so your Army will intercept faster .

1) Tower = Stationary gun post
2) Fort = 1 unit of Troops
3) Palace = 1 unit of Troops
4) Barracks = 1 unit of Troops
5) Army Base = 1 unit of Tanks

Thats just the bare minimum basics for you to give you an idea how it works. There is more beyond that but I let you figure that out.

Yeh and it keeps the communists happy as well. I find it insanely difficult to keep communists happy in general.

More high schools and lower the wage for all high school required jobs. this helped alot with last mission "Hope" where you need 50 soldiers. Be aware that once you do lower the wages some building will lose most or all employees.

If you still have trouble beating the rebels you can increase your troops' pay to max, increasing their effectiveness from 100 to 125 immediately.
