How do you explore your island to lift the fog?

Hey,

Would somebody please tell me how you go about exploring your island to lift the fog?

I don't play the campaign so if it's explained in there I'd never see it and when I tried the tutorial I couldn't get past a certain step as the game refused to recognize that I had done everything it had asked, so if it's explained somewhere in the tutorial I'm not ever likely to see that either.

It's explained in the tutorial. Click on palace and click explore and you'll send out a small unit that'll uncover the fog. It costs 1k.

Exploring the island is explained in the tutorial, click on your palace and spend $1000 to have your troops explore into the fog.

select any building that houses soldiers, on the screen that opens there should be an option that says 'explore ($1000)', click on that and your cursor with turn into a crosshair. click anywhere with the cursor and the unit will go off and explore.

Thanks for the infor folks and just to reiterate... I did say that I tried the tutorial but the game wouldn't let me progress past a certain part, (the movement of the camera), it simply would not recognize that I had moved side to side, top to bottom, zoomed in and out and done so with both the mouse and using the keyboard keys, but the tutorial refused to move on past that point so I gave up on the tutorial.

Did you try tilting the camera using the mousewheel?

But don't waste your money exploring the whole island at first, only do what you need. You can clear all the fog of war in one go a little further into the game. I won't tell you how, it's not much of a spoiler but you'll find it yourself anyway.
