Deleting roads in MP

So, as far as I've worked out, there is a very small area where you are actually able to delete roads, but as soon as you build outside that area you better pray some lag spike don't let your roads get janky, cause you are stuck with those designs throughout your game. Why can't I delete roads that I've placed? I understand that I can't delete other players' roads, but my own crocked roads... Really?
Worth mentioning is that I am on a very fast internet connection (100/100), and I'm playing with my girlfriend who is in the same room as me, and we still experience lag over multiplayer... Both run the game in singleplayer without a hitch...

Yeah, me and my sister were experiencing lag when we were playing together in the same room as the repeater (which is one room away from the modem/router).

The kicker is that I was hooked directly into the repeater with an ethernet cable.

I'm also hooked into the routermodem via ethernet cable, still we are experiencing major lag. And just know we suddenly lost the ability to save our game, meaning our bustling island had to be abandoned. The multiplayer is very unstable it seems...

Same problem. I can't delete roads outside of a zone near the palace. But I don't have any lags. Everything runs smooth.

Could you be more specific?
So when having the "demolish-tool" active, after you have pressed DELETE, you cannot clear/demolish roads in a specific area when clicking on them?

Hi Unerde. I have this same problem in our ongoing multiplayer game. I can't select road with the delete tool. But in the about 15 block radius from the palace i can destroy some roads. I can give the save game and help to get this fixed if you are still interested (hope so).

Is the road in your "territory" and has been built by you, as you cannot delete/demolish roads, not built by you but the other player/s.

Now I'm starting to think it is a feature and not a bug, since I got another circle in another heavily builded area farther away from palace. It's just annoying that it's impossible to change roads outside the heavily builded "central" areas.

The inability to delete roads has been going on for a few months now in MP. No idea why, just be extra sure you put your roads down properly.

+1 both me and my mate are having the same issue atm. Default settings, none of us joined a team and a little bit into the colonial era. No treaties signed between us either

still an issue, absolutely annoying - roads placed by me between the palace and the main harbour - somewhen in lategame these roads HAVE to e replaced!

This ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, YEARS AND YEARS LATER this ♥♥♥♥ is still not fixed. I played this right after release, I played it just few moments ago, you still cannot delete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ roads in multiplayer without a good reason.
