It's totally something you need in all game, i wonder why there is not more company that add a 3rd party DRM, i enjoy those so much, i wonder what would be my gaming experience without those...
I've had games like LA Noir where this kind of crap was mandatory.
Yeah it is, but you can avoid using it if you disable your interent connection. Well it was the case when i played at release, not sure if they changed this, been a while since i played this game...
But I had no idea if I was losing functionality by playing the game without logging in.
Nice that they changed it, it was a pain in the ass... Well you only see the news related to Kalypso in general and can receive some news by email, but other than that, you miss only the bad part of those 3rd party DRM
- If you have purchased Tropico 5 via Steam, the Kalypso-Launcher is optional to be used/registered in addition.
- When you have purchased the game as boxed version, you just need it once for activation, or for updates/DLCs.
- If you have purchased the GoG.com version, for sure you do not need it at all.
