Complete Collection DLC worth it?
Is all the DLC worth it?

Was thinking of buying it here
https://www.gog.com/game/tropico_5_complete_collection_upgrade

But how much does the DLC add to the game? Is it worth it

It does seem to add a good bit by giving a lot more things to do and more buildings to build. I never played the vanilla version, though, so it's hard for me to judge.

i bought it and i am not regreting it. It mostly adds buildings. Butt still very good

At that price yes, totally worth it. If you can get the complete game and all DLC at $20 or less you won't regret it.
most of the dlc is alright, just not at full price. in a cheap bundle like that its quite good

Is the gog DLC pack compatible with the STEAM version of the game though? Was thinking of picking it up too, but I don't know if it would work with my tropico 5 version on steam. :/

Dunno; I bought all the DLC through steam during the summer sale for $10 (complete)

Oh well, I just bought the game complete of GOG for 16$.

Yeah, but I played my copy for 8 hours, so no way to gift that... ;) I also have the PS4 version, free from Playstation plus... funny. xD

So? Complete was cheaper than some of the DLC by itself, no reason not to just buy it and use it as the upgrade pack...

If complete was about the same price on GOG.com on sale, then why not buy it as a DRM-free version, and buy it there? heh.

1. Technically it was cheaper on steam sale for the complete

2. the "DRM" isn't as horrible as it sounds; it requires you log into a Kalypso account one time; after that it remembers you and logs in automatically. For most of us playing Tropico games we made our Kalypso accounts years ago (mines more than 10 years old), I wouldn't even notice the DRM exists aside from the splash screen while loading. The DRM on this game is a big fat "who cares" since it doesn't even technically require valid personal information, just an email account (and tell me you don't have one?). I've never been spammed by Kalypso simply because they have my email, I get maybe an email a year from them annoucing a new game, and I have no problem with that.

3. Some of us like steam achievements (and steam cards). Tropico 4 was the second game I ever completed to 100% achievements (on steam); I'll get around to Tropico 5 someday (when I have time ~ currently working on Xcom2). And the cards make badges (community steam level). You're either into the meta-game (that is steam) or not.
