Any way to convert one faction to another?

I just got screwed over by one faction that got a little too popular and did not like the way I run the island. Any tips on how to reduce the faction size? Preferably without killing them as nobody likes it when I send the death squads after them.

You could try educating citizens towards becoming more like the militarist, intellectual, or religious factions. It takes a bit of time and money for that to have an effect though. Other than that, you could bribe faction leaders.

I think you can deport them.

You can also discredit the faction leader and some of its members will leave it for other factions.
