How to deal with rebels?

Ya got 3 options:

1. Keep people happy so they don't become rebels
2. Get role revealing stuff and arrest/banish/kill as many rebels as you can find
3. Recruit more soldiers / build more military stuff and just over power them

i have some rebels with 100% happines.
this only leads to even worse consequences, amount of rebels just increased

The first option works perfectly in T4, but here you get rebels even with high happiness. Guess you'll need to try one of the other options.

your best bet is what Lucian said in option 3, build a strong military and build guard towers in groups of 4+ and upgrade them. youll be surprised how good they are bunched together. you can try the edict "amnesty" aswell as "military drills" and "provoke the rebels" to force them to attack and you should have a good amount of time before they attack again.

edit: if you have the DLC you can build a prison and imprison the rebels you have discovered through your other buildings

Actually it works if you have good role reveal and use the *right* actions. If you shoot someone with an extended family in public, then yeah that's just going to make things worse.
