play without Kalypso Launcher

Hello everyone, I wanted to ask you if there is any way to play tropico without every time you want to enter the game come out the Kaypso Launcher

I dont think so. It states on the store page it is mandatory:
"Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: Kalypso Launcher (Account registration optional)"

Hi everybody,
this is not correct. When you have obtained Tropico 5 on Steam, the Kalypso-Launcher is optional and can be skipped.
Nevertheless, you can still register and create a Kalypso-account in order to get the latest news about Kalypso Media's games and much more, exclusive for Kalypso-fans.

The launcher is not mandatory. I did a quick Google search and found out how to bypass it.
Nice that Kalypso allows that.

I tried it on Tropico 5 and it works.

There are other ways to do it also. I just found that to be the easiest for me (although I don't mind the launcher).

Block launcher01.kalypsomedia.com in your firewall or antivirus. It works too. Or simply don't allow Tropico5.exe on the internet. Or any other Kalypso game like Dungeons. Same applies there.

Oh, this is interesting: It would appear that the launcher sparking these complaints is Windows-only. I'm on Linux Mint 20, and there's no launcher at all. It just goes straight into the game. I had no idea it was a thing until I ran across this thread.
