Satisfaction high, approvel low.... how?
Overall happiness/satisfaction is up to 90 points, still the thumb up (approvel? I don't know how it is called in english) is only 60%.
I don't have any rebells, only some criminal bosses and nothing bad is happening. Is approval even needed in the late-/endgame?

I'm by no means an expert, but have you promised anything during elections and then not fulfilled those promises?

Approval is the correct word. :)

You cannot leave any promises unfullfield, if you don't promise anything. ;)

Election promises were a thing in Tropico 4 but not in T5, unfortunately.

From my experience, Happiness is related to the conditions on the island (housing, entertainment, religion, etc.) while Approval relates to your standing with the various factions. You can go to the factions tab and see what the various groups think about you, You can't keep all of them happy, of course, but if you appease the largest factions your approval should go up.

Thanks, I will try that. Both numbers have been pretty equal all the time. Was the first time I got such a big gap.
