Dealing with Dantarg? (Got him!!)
Alright, so I'm on my Third Generation and my current goal is to take down Dantarg.

My first emperor this generation lost to him, but I got vital information. Namely, a weakness to martial arts, Bows, wind magic, and that he has a second form (as well as a nasty AOE).

So, I came at him with a team with two archers, one decent martial artist/tank, one really good martial artist emperor, and possibly the best healer I've had yet.

I can get through the first form with no one going down, and with half my BP remaining. A nice, steady offense, breaking his ley line and going for big damage with a 3-hit United attack, with the Dragon Stance making things nice and predictable.

And then his second form just whupps me. Raging Headbutt is insane to deal with, his earth leyline can have him GAIN HP over any damage I do, and he gets it back really quick. Not to mention, he seems immune to every single status effect I've thrown at him.

Also, I noticed I can attack his leg, but... It's incredibly tanky and I don't know what breaking it would even do.

Any advice? (Other than get Air Screen on a few units and spam it?)

Edit:
So yeah, Spamming the hell out of Air Screen to boost defense and smush his regen, and focusing on a slow but steady offense did the trick! :D

Gz on beating him!

For the record, I think most non-Bokhohn heroes are probably better left for later instead of earlier... The non-Bokhohn heroes don't unlock particularly meaningful things, so you don't miss out on much by leaving them for later when you're stronger.

Dantarg in particular unlocks absolutely nothing, so I usually leave him as one of the last heroes.

But hey, gz on the win! \(^^)/

He was in my empire's proverbial backyard, had already WHUPPED the butt of my previous emperor (who had to abdicate in shame shortly after), and I needed a generation skip, so I chose the path of vengeance against the guy! XD

Nice work, glad to hear of your success! Your experience is one of the reasons I love this game: you came up against a wall, carefully considered the enemy strength, and came up with a plan to counter the challenge point-by-point. There's no "one correct" way to beat Dantarg, but the solution you came up with clearly worked and it was definitely yours. Good luck on future challenges!
