Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven

Ver estadísticas:
1° run Classic/hard completed! What a fantastic journey..
I just finished my first run on Classic/hard difficulty, it was a great experience. 137 hours and I've pretty much got all the trophies, I'll just have to start and finish NG+ and get all the territories, recruit the Salamanders and get her ability for the platinum.

Against the final boss and the Dread Queen I arrived with too high stats and too many fights (1775) and I easily beat them without any problems. In NG+ I'll try to avoid most of the encounters, otherwise what's the fun in winning easily. XD

Funny you should say that since I pretty much shredded the seven (expert difficulty) in the final fight using United Attacks, the ability which boosts the damage by 100%, and the formation that boosts its damage lmao
Fighting the seven on the first run was a pain in the butt though, for me. I had to reload so many times.

It really was a fun game, I didn't fight the Dread Queen again on NG+ because I wanted to move on to other games for the time being but I'll very likely come back in the future and do a Romancing difficulty run.
I didn't really rate Umbrology or the Diviner that highly tbqh so I'll continue to save the Salamanders in any future run I do... I just feel too bad letting them die.

I wanted to save the Salamanders too, but I got Diviner first for other trophies like the university one.

The first final boss battle ended so quickly that they couldn't use any United Attacks.
2x shadow clones + 2x Dark blade and I oneshotted them on my first United Attack. ↓
Edit: I was confused, the first time I fought them I tried to get the trophy for the 5 character united attack and I used 2 combos and tried to recharge the gauge but they died too soon. I tried it again and then I defeated them with that combo.
(My emperor has 35 strength and the ninja 30 so they do a lot of damage)

To get a 5 attack combo against them I had to "sweat" more but again I defeated them before their united attacks.

The Dread Queen was a bit more challenging but I defeated her on the first try, like the others.

Congrats, sounds like you had quite a ride! NG+ can be a fun experience, since now you've got many endgame tools at your disposal and will be putting them to use pretty quickly in the early game. You also are much better armed with knowledge about how to tackle the world's challenges and in what order to best do it. From my own experience, NG+ Expert is actually easier than NG Classic. But if you roll through that and circle around again for Romancing difficulty, then that challenge ramps back up again.

Yes it was a lot of fun, I followed some advice/guides on some quests like the "Mermaid quest" but apart from that I explored and played the other quests and events without any further help.

I'm playing Expert now, the enemies hit hard but my characters do the same.. most of the time they hit about 10 to 20k on weaknesses, combined attacks can reach up to 70k thanks to all the various skills.

I don't know if I'll have time to replay Romancing, there are other games coming out later. XD

At the moment the enemies are at level 27, do you think I should do more battles so as not to oneshot (more or less) the bosses with combos?

From my experience, with your unlocked abilities, Mr. S bonuses, United Attacks, and weapons, most mobs are going to fall to you without incident, no matter what you do. Some bosses may put up more of a fight, but the Heroes are really where the bulk of the NG+ difficulty is going to be. Even then though, you're a beast with your bonuses and are equipped with the best weapon, knowledge, so you know how best to beat them. Beating a NG+ playthrough shouldn't take too long if you're skipping dialogue (and avoiding enemies like you said you were), so if you're looking for the difficulty of Romancing, it'll open up before too long. My Expert run was mostly to prepare - unlock any abilities, formations, or gear pieces I didn't have and get everyone ready. You could go straight into Romancing on a NG+ but the difficulty isn't quite tuned for a person's first NG+ run.
