If you need to leave in the middle of a dungeon, when you go back to it, just dash past all enemies and you'll be back to your previous location in no time.
Or if you need to just run past enemies and grab the save that is at the end of most dungeons. A suspend save would be nice but what can you do.
Because A) this game crashes occasionally in dungeons, and B) sometimes I like to play games for blocks of less than an hour
If you're not sure the game auto saved, you can open the load menu under settings and check the clock time.
Normally, its more or less the fault of youre computer then. For example: even RAM OC (yes XMP and stuff like that is RAM OC) can be a part of the crashing problem, even onl, in one single game. Normally.
The second point: okay, i can understand that.
Game has never, ever autosaved after a battle, and I have autosaves on. I have checked this a number of times. Is it a secret separate setting somewhere?
yes, i'm running it on my gaming potato
Have you tried doing a file integrity check on Steam or adding the game to your anti-virus exceptions?
The only change I made to the game was removing the motion blur following the guide here on Steam adding and saving the appropriate text in the engine file.
I had frame rate issues at first because I tried to improve the graphics as suggested there, but removing that line (that I added) in the engine file is ok now.
(Should be called r.particles..200% or something like that)
I currently have shadows set to low, textures high and max rendering and 60 fps. VSync and Dynamic resolution off. Fullscreen 1920x1080
The crashes wouldn't be an issue if I could get it to autosave after battles instead of just on entering areas
There were a few other people who reported issues with saving, loading and crashing, but I'm afraid I dunno the causes of it, and I never experienced it myself.
I'd guess it's a hardware incompatibility issue or something like it. I dunno if there is any fix for it.
Maybe we might get a patch eventually that improves performance that solves the issues some people are having, but until then, I guess all you can do is trying to return to Avalon if you feel like you have been on a dungeon for too long and are afraid of a crash.
That's what I thought, but a LOT of people say otherwise
other than that, yeah, no auto save for normal battles, for me anyway
