If 19+ Hiraga Generations have passed since you cleared Garon's Coup, then Subier is on 2nd form.
If you already killed 4 heroes, all remaining heroes will be on their 2nd form.
Those are all the triggers related to Subier's 2nd form.
So... To fight 1st form you essentially need to keep Narwhal Alive; Beat Subier shortly after Sunken Ship is Triggered; Have Subier be one of the first 4 heroes you kill.
That's basically it. You probably just left Subier as one of you last few heroes in your run where you kept Narwhal alive. Just try killing him earlier and you shouldn't have issues.
Not on the sunken ship, but at the frozen lake. So I guess I did not wait enough generation for this event to trigger,
Funnily enough, I think I misunderstood the blogspot where they say that between 48-250 fights, the years past are the battles.
But I had two timeskips with 160 battles, and both of them advanced 210 years.
So I suppose it is always battles [48;250] + 50 years
Thanks for the help brother
And I'm not sure if it wasn't even right for the Remaster. I remember it feeling off back when I was playing it.
Not a "brother", btw.
