Has this game been updated for "modern audiences"?

Talking about race-swapped characters and NPCs for representation, old designs censored because of the male gaze and gendered dialogue removed because of current year.

Does this game contain anything like that? Have players of the original been able to spot any changes? Thank you in advance. This will influence my decision to give the game a try or to put it on my ignore list and forget about until the end of time.

Ehhhh, you're either being disingenuous or you just don't know. I buy games according to gameplay too, but I have zero desire to be preached to by a game I'm playing, even if the gameplay is great. I don't need an angry racist black woman in dustborn telling me about trigger warnings and saying someone is evil because he referred to my party member as "black". I don't want my assassin's creed game be about a black samurai who kills asian villagers to the tune of rap music playing in the background (did you not see that combat video everyone laughed at?), I don't need pronouns in my character select screen of my team based FPS, I don't need a man jaw woman who repeatedly insults males and threatens to kill them if they help her (unknown 9 ).

If those things don't bother you, then more power to you. They do me, however. I'm 50 and have been gaming since I was 6. I never saw this kind of stuff in gaming until the 2010's and know it's not natural.

yeah sorry I don't watch fox. If you think I'm scared of playing someone with a darker skin tone than white... I play a red lizard woman in FFXIV and other places... I'm not scared of things that don't look like me. I have friends that don't even consider themselves republican that dislike this kind of stuff because it's not natural story telling in any shape or form. If people really disliked things with main characters that had darker skin Fresh Prince would have never been popular in the 90s... pulp fiction would have never been a hit. You are pretty much talking out of your ass because you are hateful and the issue imo. I get the feeling you are one of those people that sees one person say something and think the mass majority think it. You keep mentioning Fox news and saying how caught up on things we are but you seem caught up on something and it's pretty obvious. I also find it very amusing that your claim to not being shallow is playing a female red au ra in FF14. The literal nadir of pr0n OCs for that game beyond even the pink haired catgirls.

I play games that look interesting to me but I verify things. I wouldn't have played so many hours of BG3 or APEX if I cared about political stuff completely. Nah the cat girls are 100x worse for that kinda stuff. I've been around since 1.0 and I know that community like the back of my hand. I have no issue with what people want drawn of their characters, if people want that for their characters, cool for them. I personally don't have any art or screenshots of that stuff of my ffxiv character. Not to mention I pretty much stated I don't like ugly characters in the quoted post, never said I wasn't shallow to some degree. I just said I play an red lizard girl showing that I don't care if my character is female or has a different skin color, I still want my characters to be hot.
