the mighty martial artists

the leader said that they HAVE to defeat the final boss? how do i go about this side quest?

There's a slime based monster in the nearby cave that's hindering the martial artists from dealing with the monsters further within (as the slime resists their blunt attacks).

When you defeat the slime boss, you can choose to either report back to the martial artists to allow them to restore their honor, or go deeper into the cave and slay the fiends yourself (which will not do good things to their reputation, or their relationship with your empire).
