It does give me a chance to stop playing for a minute though...
Also, sometimes some dungeons, like the sewers, will crash when you go DOWN the ladders. This is a simple workaround as you can just jump down, but the random times that the game decides to not let you climb UP them really sucks.
I've noticed that the two glitches don't occur simultaneously though, it's either one or the other. Restarting helps mostly, but I guess the other workaround is fast traveling out so that you get a quicksave or so you can get to a savepoint. That way you won't lose your progress.
Now I'm struggling on the last boss again. Really frustrating.
