Demo Save file not showing up in full game

Played through the demo and just bought the full game but my demo save file is not showing up to load. Anyone having this issue I do not want to start over?

demo and full game are different clients, you have to start over.
Its extremely rare that you can use save files from demos in a full game

same, it says "an error occured" i just played and finished tutorial BUT IT DOESNT LET ME SAVE THE GAME. so i cant play the game wtf is this?!?!

The demo for this game explicitly states that you can carry your save data over to the full game.

Unfortunately for the poster, I decided to start over clean so I don't know what could be the problem on their end. Do you still have the demo installed alongside the full game? On the same drive?

Are you playing on Steam Deck? I was and had to sort out the issue on a computer via Cloud Saves. Even if you aren't, this might still fix things for you:

Go to https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage
Locate Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven
Data from the demo should be present there, as well as a file path. Download all the files and put them in the file path on your PC. Make it if it doesn't already exist
Try opening up the game again. The prompt to add demo data shows up before the title screen

I installed the full game and started before removing the demo.
I instantly got the choice to import my old save in the full game.

i did the same. but i still cant play it because it doesnt let me create a save file and cant find the demo save file.

Playing on steam deck have not tried on my PC yet. I have the demo installed on my steam deck and then downloaded the full game but never got a transfer option.

i did the same. but i still cant play it because it doesnt let me create a save file and cant find the demo save file.

Ok i solved it by uninstalling the Demo and uninstalling the actual game. i Downloaded it again and it could load my demo save file. i can finally play it now. i guess something went wrong while downloading?

Nice, thanks for the reply. I got mine working as well. I downloaded both the demo and full game on my pc and it just worked. I was playing only on steam deck but now its working thankfully.

Not true. Toy was able to use save data from the demo.
