Location of Treasure Chests containing pre-purchase bonus items

I have opened all the chests in Avalon Castle in the Demo. I can't find any additional chest in the castle, and there is neither Cat's Amulet nor Shiyuan's Tactical Primer in my inventory. Anyone know where's the chest containing the items?
Do we have to start a New Game to "re-open" the chests in order to get the items?

**Update：The chests are found between the exit of Avalon Castle and the nearest save point to the exit. No need to restart the game.

You should continue the game from the full-size (purchased) game-image .

The chests appear after killing Kzinssie. They'll be in the castle main hall.
