I am worried about failing this quest if I trigger a time skip (which I know will happen if I finish any of the other quests I currently have) but I also lack access to any of the other regions that have the needed ore.
Is there a way to make ore respawn? or is it safe to trigger a time skip?

on a similar note, any way to re-start the mermaid quest? I started it far too early, did not have access to most of the ingredients, and the quest was gone after a time skip (but not the quests for the ingredients)

Is it the one where you gather pure iron ore? I've time skipped and I still have the quest, so I don't think the quest can be failed.

You don't need to finish it in one generation so you're good to pick up the pieces as needed as you make your way across the world

Also, mermaid quest needs to be done in one generation by a male emperor or you cannot complete it. You can still get the nereid class but not the dancer class.

This blacksmith quest is not restricted by time skips fortunatly.
It took me several emperors to get all the ore and it had no consequences.

As for the mermaid, yeah you have to do the quest with a male emperor and not trigger a timeskip while you are doing it (aka capturing a zone)
You still get the Nereid class as the mermaid potion is used for another quest also, but miss out on the Dancer class.

oh well, the one class I dont want to miss is the monster class you can see in the store page.

If you are talking about the salamander class, it can be missed if you let the volcano erupt.

One of the ores can be found at the volcano, and you can only get there after starting the Comroon region quest.
Be aware that its a two parter, you capture the region in the first part and can get the Salamanders or blow them up in the second part which happens after a timeskip. So it must be done before the final emperor.
