I think you grinded too much and are now stuck. Lvl3 Deep One in the sewers and possibly Lvl4 Canal boss would be best.

Game has level scaling so you don't need to grind ever (until final emperor I guess) cause story progresses at a pace where you get better equipment (and techs and skills) to bridge the gap you didn't have in the beginning part of the game.

Canal Fortress... was that the guy with the two monster "pets" in front of him?
If you have someone with Clubs, and have glimmered Headbash, that can inflict Sleep for a few turns.

As for getting one-shot by the Deep One...
Well, I doubt you have access to fusion magic, so Fire Wall (nullifies Fire/Water damage) isn't an option.
There's a Hydrology spell called Water Dance, which gives Defense Up and Water damage resistance.

Don't suppose you have any other quest options and can come back later when you can improve the Smithy/Incantations Lab for better equipment and spells.

Other than hoping you have glimmered useful moves, like Stuns, or crowd control options like Sleep/Paralysis-inflicting stuff, you could take a look at your formation options.
Having one that focuses aggro towards specific party members could be useful, if you have them use moves like Counterattacks or Parry skills.

The thing is I had good moves but then I ended up losing the fight when he had half the hp, after I reincarnated the first time tho then I almost beat the deep one whit like 500 hp or so, kinda gave up haha, as of weapons I really don’t know what to chose for each class, many have a club on all of them and just spam som club attacks hahah, but thx for the tips I’ll keep it in mind😎

But generally speaking the game is actually more fun because of how much different it is from an regular RPG😎

That’s what I thought about but I had trouble before that even when I was at lower level in the beginning actually, but what you say makes sense cause I still only have the first equipment mostly😂.

Started the game at the wrong mindset, for me it was I Learn skils by defeating enemies, then I thought Maby I can grind more and get more skills 😂

Well I guess I start over, now that I have learned a thing or two abot the games mechanics 🤓🤓🤓

Yeah, once you get a decent selection of skills and spells at your disposal things will get "easier" in that you have more tools to deal with a problem.

Its a fine line between using your battle time to glimmer skills when necessary (a bulb icon will pop up next to an attack that has the possibility of sparking/glimmering a tech) and not dying/wasting LP.
