Stuck in story forever

Explored all regions + side paths except the quest line where you have to play a man of the sea (pirate or marine basically) you can't replace your current king even if you go to your throne to swap it. Since time doesn't pass by simply running around or waiting you end up being stuck.

Like I said I did all side quests, explored all areas entirely (the ones you can reach at least)
I like the part of the original without any handholding but this is kinda dumb designed that you can't even swap the king anymore to do specific quests you need to complete before you can pass on.

This is clearly a big problem. Talking to the dude with the flying machine doesn't help either since you have to meet some requirements (which is located on the isle you have to be a pirate for)

The original game was better, you had more ways to miss important stuff but you were able to move on at least.

I don't want to begin from 0 again, the game is good but not good enough to replay everything from scratch

There's always the option to LP-kill your emperor (or wipe with an otherwise empty party).

You can reach Comroon from a boat in Mowlie.
The only thing that hard requires a Corsair emperor as far as i'm aware are the Rapid Stream formation and the comroon strait, which is just a water route.

Even in the original game, you can reach Comroon without becoming a pirate

Well its years ago, I can't remember every passage of the original anymore since I played thousands of games in the meantime.

But overall I think the original is still a lot better than any remake unfortunately it was full of easter eggs and hidden stuff without ruining your walkthrough (it was just possible to miss a few characters and a few specific items)

But well either my game is bugged but Mowlie has no path the guy on the docks has just a return button. There is nothing else you can choose from.

Not sure if someone else faced this, I'm about to say something went wrong

But well either my game is bugged but Mowlie has no path the guy on the docks has just a return button. There is nothing else you can choose from.

That's odd, maybe the minstrel quest unlocks the location as you progress? I remember kinda following it all the way to Mowlie where it guided me to take the boat from there.

I might check it later again, it was kinda frustrating to walk blind across every field and path several times without anything interesting.

Ok you clearly hasn't explored "every" area because the game immedeatly goes to the last emperor when you kill 5 of the heroes.
Unless you are now on your last emperor, in which yes you can't switch cause its the final one.
But then you should also have been told what you need to do.

When you unlock the 2nd emperor you can reach any zone on the map as you can travel to Miles from Somon and just walk to the steppe and then to all the other zones.

As for Comroon, you can just take the boat from Mowlie.
If as you say you can't do that, then you need to verify your files cause that boat is available at all times.

I wasn't able to use the boat to mowlie. Fortunately SE was able to send me a key for a pre-release version of the game which has fixed the problem. I simply played with an older version for 5-10 minutes and went back to the release version.

I simply just had a weird bug.
Problem was solved thanks to it, I just forgot to post it
