The Great Villainess: Strategy of Lily

The Great Villainess: Strategy of Lily

Elite Special Artillery
Is there like, a GOOD way to defeat this guy? The only strategy i found that works was luring him into the 4 space area so that i could stunlock him with On the Stage, which is completely RNG reliant. I feel like I've tried everything and it doesn't work. Attrition doesn't outpace the supply healing. He one shots with his buffed attack no matter your defense buffs, even when he's at like half HP. You can't even grind up to his level because enemy reinforcements eventually stop spawning. Is there a mechanic I'm missing?

you're not supposed to kill him - the mission gives you a lot of freedom, but it seems like there's only 1 really 'intended' method to win

Well I mean yeah, clearly, given how much easier it is to just sneak around behind him, but given that it plays the same game over as the elite cavalry, talking about how "they did it in testing", I thought maybe there was a more reliable strategy that someone else had found.

I don't even know how they beat the first elite. Guy just two shots me regardless of what I do.

Grinding doesn't really work either since the even more broken elite comes out.

For the lv8 one, wait for the mandatory stalling ship tactic to go down, then put both characters at the branching paths node. This will bait him into attacking you with a single unit. Afterwards he'll be defenseless next turn for you to take out, grating you a lot of followers and a bunch of exp. You'll lose progress on the side path in the process but your supply line should hold long enough for you to finish the mission.

suprisingly the if you auto resolve they survive, so maybe if you abuse that a bit you can wittle him down, I didn't bother

I did exactly that, and at a certain point was able to manually beat the Lv8 Elite.
The Lv12 is just brutal tho, and if you're thinking of leveling for a long time there's only a finite number of reinforcements before they eventually run out.
