The way you explain it is horrible. No offense. The front wheel shouldn't be pulled down by gravity as you explain, but pushed forward once brought into the air. The forward motion of the front tire will bring the back tire up off the ground if you suck your legs up. Then gravity takes hold.
How do you think kids ollie day in and day out without the board stuck to their feet?
1. Press down with back foot, lift front foot up, roll ankle in directon of travel, and jump. This is all one motion.
2. While in air push front foot in direction of travel, lift back foot towards waist.
3. Level board under feet and unroll ankle
4. Gravity will start to take hold so now press towards ground as if straightening legs, but do not lock knees.
5. Brace for landing.
It's the same motion as described in the game. Pull back and quickly press forward, and yet it doesn't work.
It is so broken as hell.
The same goes for the bunny hop on a bicycle.
The same as an ollie on a snowboard.

I think OP should start using more "Challenge accepted!" type of thinking. It works.
