Sudden drop in popularity

I recently got back to playing the game with all 3 DLCs after a year and usually just after the 2nd elections I experience a very sharp and sudden drop in pupularity, in 2 turns all the way from 99,50% to 10%. All that without passing any new policies that should upset the people or even when passing something the people should like or without any new policies in those 2 turns at all. I got Democracy 3 Africa on gog today and had no such problems, managed to stay at 100% for the rest of the game with the same type of policies (soc+lib+enviro for the record).

Is it a bug I am experiencing? Or did they prepared the game for the new DLC, but without the new tools I simply can't manage popularity very well from certain point? Or do I just suck at the game?

Btw all the groups that really hate me are almost non-existent or completely gone (like the religious ppl).

Do you have honeymoon checked on? That will give you a bonus for your first term and might trigger a drop when your term is up.

I did nothing major to make it fall and after it was at 30% for two turns I installed media censorship, ID cards etc and it still stayed there for 15+ turns. btw, I had no political enemies, but when it got to 30% everyone was out to get me too!

I even installed the propangada mod and the "vote for me" mod, and the popularity didn't bulged and stayed at 30%, which of course conclude the game always by a game over.

Hi, sorry for not noting these extra posts before ;(. Does anybody have a save game that exhibits this? I can debug the save game and investigate the calculations to find the bug if I can reproduce it. the problem is I've yet to actually see it happen on a PC myself, meaning I cannot dig deeper? If anyone has a save game that shows this please email it to me at cliff AT positech dot co dot uk and I will look at it right away.

Yup, we patched it yesterday. It was easy(ish) once we could see it in a debugger...

I'm experiencing this exact bug. Sudden drop from 75% to 23%. Whatever I try, it's occurring. I even have a save game which illustrates that, happens 5 turns after that savegame is loaded.

I have the Steam Collectors Edition with Social Engineering, Extremism, Clones and Drones. I also have the Poland mod from http://www.positech.co.uk/democracy3/mods.html.

I also this (?) bug here, and it is very serious.

No matter what I do: re-starting games, re-installing, (de-)activating mods.
Each second round (in a new game) the popularity drops to 0%. No matter what I do, no mater which nation.

I've bought the game yesterday (Collector's edition). Everything worked perfectly. I was that thrilled by the gameplay that I've bought "Democracy 3: Electioneering" today. After that... the drop occurs :(((( As I said, I've deinstalled, and deactivated, doesn't help.

Besides that... somehow Electioneering looks really broken. I know that there is no German version, but instead of English texts there are the unresolved text tokens in most parts of the DLC screens.

I bought the full Democracy 3 pack and started with Africa, playing as Senegal. My approval rating for "everyone" has been 0% the entire time I've played, even though all of the groups have fluctuated and been somewhere near the middle. Since this is my first time playing, I don't have anything to compare it to, but have no idea how to bring up my main approval rating.

Oh, also, I'm on the Mac version, was this one patched as well? Playing again as Nigeria and can't my popularity, members and activists to budge above 0.

Finally, the main Democracy 3 game recognizes that all DLC is installed, whereas the DLC icons in the menu screen in Africa say "on sale now".

I fear that the problem is still here, I'm dopping from 100% to 30%, always around the first half of my second term, even if don't do anything

In my case it was defintely the DLC Electioneering. Once I deinstalled this DLC everything works fine. But anyway I exprect to have a patch here. So with this DLC the game becomes unplayable. :-(
