How to decrease the unemployment?

Hi guys! Now I have an interesting situation:

I play as an american president. I have erdicated poverty and crime, I have created an "Egalitarian Society". However, the Unemployment rate is high.

Are there any tips to decrease it?

You have to see what's increasing it and what's increasing that (for instance, if the main thing is low productivity which in turn is being mainly worsened by alcohol consumption, you need to start tackling alcohol)

...or you could just issue government jobs in the military, roadwork, hospitals, as bus drivers, etc

Reducing alcoholism is a big one. You can lock down immigration and sometimes import tariffs work too.

The biggest policies effecting unemployment are :
rural development, child care, street improvements, state schools/health care, military spending

the game allows you this, but u have to face the consequences real socialism had to take :D. And for your doctors strike: it is caused by high workers rights + low funds in state healthcare, so increase state health care should fix this problem

This game does not allow such kind of actions, like nationalizing industry, bank or transport system. Instead, there is one mod which adds these politics into game.

SO! Dont worry, you will not meet these consequences in vanilla game, calm down

P.s. freaking doctors ignore the fact that I max-fund them. Stupid doctors

It is actually not that useful. Because if your GDP is low, they won't migrate to you anyway, just a costly policy at the start.
And what i meant with real socialism: by rasing your workers union members, they are more likeliy to protest and by increasing labour laws to pro union you make it not better.
Of course you can't go extreme socialist industry wise, but u can do it taxwise, but it is really not worth it.

Thats True. Without strong Economy it is very bad to be a pro-union government. But you can make this policy balanced, so you are more pro-worker than your precursors and still workers will not protest

Oh, come on, you know what you must do. Hire all this unemployed into police force and army. For the rest of them enact compulsory social work from the 'welfare' tab. Suppress strikes with force, enact all the s...tuff from 'law' tab, including death penalty and corporal punishments, with Conservatives support this give you immense political power.
