Stupid newbie question: potions
My cleric is poisoned aftr a battle. I have an antidote potion. How do I use it? Double-clicking and right clicking don't work....neither does dragging an dropping it onto the character portrait or his inventory. Do I have to wait for another combat to actualy command him to use it? This seems like it should be simple but the menu system is rather "old school" so it is not apparent.

you have to Use the potion during combat. Out of combat you can click use it as normal. The Icon for the Use function, click on the weapon icon near the portrait and it is in the selections there

If you're using it from inventory, you do so via the "Use" icon down the bottom left. The potion doesn't need to be in the character's personal inventory, although you do need to have that character selected.

Even noobier question, how do you use a potion in combat? I get a "use the EQUIP button first" but I don't see that button anywhere in the inventory...?

Wow! A decade old thread! Anyways, you need the potion in your personal inventory, not the party inventory. Then when you hit the use item button you will get two options: equip and use item. You can select what you want to use and there ya go! It’s a very useful function, and it’s how bards use their ‘spells’, how you throw bombs, use scrolls, etc.

Got it, its actually from the combat menu if I am correct, not the inventory? (so where the little icon is for combat on the character portrait I can see an "equip" and "use" option - I am guessing this is what you mean?

Great game. Cant belive I waited so long after 7 to play this lol.
