But no, take this opportunity to play without a walkthrough. What I wouldn’t give to start over not knowing what’s next!
This game is about your character and party design and development. You can explore that on your own or not. There is no shame in using a suggested powerful party design in order to get familiar (or refamiliarized) with the mechanics of the game, what is possible and what is fun (for you). Your call.
Only reason why im asking is because i wasn't sure if Wizardry suffered from the safe issues as Divine Divinity had where if you didn't do certain quests in a certain order you can completely mess up the entire play through.
So im guessing, Even with it having a Fallout 1996 style of dialogue where you have to actually type (or select) questions and words to get certain information, which im completely fine with i just wasn't sure if it would be advised to use a reference sheet.
I guess i can always just google any time i get confused or turned around, right?
I know Wizardry has alot of different moving parts so i'll probably play it on an easier setting just until i get the hang of the mechanics and what not then i can always switch the difficulty back up. Or no?
Anyone know what im talking about?
Mess up the ending as in you'll get the "bad" ending or mess up as in you'll be forced to restart if you wanna see the end game credits?
At worst you can go the autosave frpm right before you triggered where you triggered the bad ending, drop a portal (probbably have it portal/return portal spell at that high level) since it's in the same location you get the good ending anyway, then just go back and do the fairly straightforward quest you were told to do.
It's not like Wiz 6 where you have to worrying about the good ending quest NPC going away if you say no the first time or being locked into your ending 2 whole "dungeons" from the actual ending.
Okay cool! So its pretty fair to say that i can go into this blind and not have any issues progressing?
If you didn’t get knocked out of a tree by your trynnie friends.....you didn’t play wizardry 8
Thats what im trying to avoid >____<
Arnika road can be a killer for parties full of hybrids who simply dont have access to AoE magic yet, but a party of specialists doesnt even sneeze.
Also, imo most problems on Arnika road come from the fact that players have no idea how to use the party formation wheel, and expose their weak party memebers to dangerous melee attacks.
I remember the first(And only)time i played, I got caught on Arnika road with bandit after bandit after bandit coming at me from the horizon and eventually i was just like "i cant anymore lmao"
I remember seeing a mod that made it so you dont get swarmed on Arnika road over and over again.
I believe i made it to Arnika and then had to take the road to go some place else, It was main quest related but it was awile ago so i cant remember where exactly i was but i know Arnika road was the culprit that made me give up >____<
But after watching an old Dansgaming playthrough i REALLLY wanna overcome this game and add it to my collection of old crpg's ive managed to finish
