Then I may safely presume that their ancestors had been all dead by then. And some of them were dwarves and eleves....
One example is that, if you choose to let one party member stay in the inn, the result is that only he will grow old. For the others, "time" does not elapse.
Also, in Wizardry 1-5, it takes a few years for a character to change class after he or she meets the requirements. He (or she) may stay in the training ground for four to five years. Yet this process, to the players, is instant. Only the character who changes class will grow old. other characters' age will be unchanged.
