Wine mono installer (mac)

I redownloaded this game some time ago, and got this pop up message saying I was missing "wine mono Installer". Even though I clicked on Install, it never managed to download the files. I tried verifying files, but the same happened. If I click cancel, it says I am missing the Gecko package too, which doesn't download either.


It also says to download from the wine page, but I am not sure where to put it so it works properly. Would really love to get it right this time, since earlier playthroughs (2014-2015) have ended in not being able to finish due to game freezing too frequently.

PS:

If it is possible to play this game on mac with mods using wine, pretty plz let me know. I will be really thankful.

My buddy tried for weeks to get his to work! Not sure if you to are having the same issue or not. I can tell you he couldnt figure it out. Sorry dude.

Thanks for the reply. I am not sure what those two do, but I have still not encountered any bugs, freezes, glitches or anything, so maybe it doesn't matter (convincing self here).


About mods, I actually just installed one into the wiz 8 folder I have, and since those are windows files, it Worked! I could't simply overwrite the files as per the readme, but had to verify the old files afterwards, but the mod works fine.

If you meant that your buddy couldnt make modding work, then deathstalkers mod "is working" flawlessly couple hours in. Totally different game :)
