Croc Quest Bug? *SPOILERS*

So I grabbed Marten's idol and one of my party members was kidnapped.

Spoke to Croc and he said he would help me find my friend if I dealt with a monster in the swamp.

So I've been trudging through the map looking for this monster and came across a lone Savant drone (that I think had run away from a previous fight). The strange thing is, every time I get near it, the game just crashes back to the desktop.

I'm curious if this is a known issue and if I'll have to use an older save and hope it doesn't happen again.

I'd imagine it wants to give you the speech and somehow can't. Try to initiate combat yourself.

Yep, just fireball it from far away. Anyway, it has nothing to do with Croc, it must be a drone from the party(ies) that spawn once you have some of the divine artifacts. They are always neutral until you get close to them, then they talk to you and turn hostile. If it already talked to you before and then ran from the combat, might be a reason for the bug.

I've had robots spawn that caused a crash whenever approached. Just moving some distance away and camping until they wandered off solved the problem.
