How do I equip something in 7?

Probably something silly I missed but all my chars seem to be bare handed and when I go into the inventory and select lets say a weapon a red grid pops up with 2 rows with no indication of where anything should go. and even when I move things around nothing seems to happen.

You drag the gear to the suit of armor on the right side of the screen.

Took me awhile too to figure that out. Also change formation order by cliking on the name of the two you want to swap positions with. I had to go to the manual for that one.

Make sure you guys/gals read the manual. Those help a lot for the older games. Now days, you just google everything. There aren't really any manuals.
