Point is there are quite a few "abandonware" games that have a decent modding community the thing is though alot of older games are a ♥♥♥♥♥ to mod so it's not as prevelant as more modern fair.
Better question is whether or not there have been any major mod releases. I've modded a bunch of stuff in Wizardry 7 before. I think I've seen a mod or two on the internet before, but can't remember what the mod was and where I found it.
My favourite incarnation of this game. ^^
