Playing it on mobile right now and it can be p2w but like with any other game with microtransactions there's a grind if you don't want to put any money down

Balances the battles quite nicely. Matches the lvl of the Aircraft level the field of each match. 1st game in a long time I have been hooked on!!

An f-5 can be just as deadly as an f-16 if you know the weapons in the game, how to adapt to them, etc. I have dominated with the f-5 for weeks now. The only thing that usually destroys me is the long range missiles on the f-111, f-14, etc.

Its not like warthunder where you cant compete against players who pay lots of money. The fighter you are playing is just as viable as any other (sans delta dart, it sucks...) but yeah, not pay to win. Hanger unlock takes time but the new jets are not a game changer.

Edit: F-5 is the starter fighter everyone gets

A lot of people saying Pay to Progress is P2W... Really showing you don't know what you're talking about. P2W is when you can buy things that give you an advantage over others... Better gear, better vehicles, things like that. Not progress faster... To give an answer, no this isn't P2W but just like almost every other free game out there, there's a subscription service that lets you progress faster.

DEf not P2W, the game is very balanced, sure you can spend $$ to unlock planes faster but really isnt needed, the player matching system will match you against planes at the same level, you can have just as much fun with a level 1 plane as you can with a level 20 (max level)

This game is not a P2W just because you can beat modern aircrafts with olds. Depending your skill. Micro transaction just help you to evolve faster.

While I find it a ton of fun, the bots NEED to be vastly improved, as you're almost guaranteed to lose when you have all bots on your team... they rarely score, never fly through the flag, etc. I haven't seen such poor bots since the 1980's Atari games (THEY were better).
You DO need to buy the monthly passes to be competitive, BUT you can still play for free.
