Epic Mickey 2 DX - Announcement Thread
Hello everyone! I have been reverse engineering this game for over a year now and after the release of Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, I believe it's time for it to be brought to the modern age, especially since it didn't exactly meet expectations upon release. I have recently begun development of a "remaster" of sorts, more specifically, a mod to implement many much-needed additions or changes to improve the user experience. I have an internal roadmap for features that will be implemented before I consider the project finished. This currently includes:

  • Various bug fixes
  • New Game Plus (replay the game without losing collectibles)
  • Variable frame rates (30, 60, 120)
  • Higher shadow quality
  • Tweaked lighting in select areas
  • PlayStation & Nintendo UI buttons
  • Discord Rich Presence
  • In game configuration menu (modify display options, input mappings, general config)

Now, why am I posting this here before release? I would like the input of the community on what they would like to see fixed in this game. Please suggest any QoL features which you believe should be implemented either in the Discord server[discord.gg] or in the discussion below.

Please do not post any suggestions which decently alter the story of the game itself.
Please do not post any suggestions related to multiplayer, as I am still researching that. If it is implemented, it would be in a future update

Will you be adding in COOP to this version of the game or will it be too much of a hassle? I am actually excited to try this game once your mod launches. Any idea of when it will be complete?

I'm not quite sure yet on whether co-op will be present, but I have been working on it. It depends on how challenging it turns out being.

As for a release schedule, I am aiming for the later half of this year. I plan to fully reveal the mod at the F3 fangame showcase (which usually happens around June), along with a final release date.

Added the sprint system from EMR, though here it is completely optional and can be disabled.
