Report a translation problem
1. Hold middle mouse button, then press 'S' (movement back) to access the upgrades menu
2. Here use the cursor keys and Enter to select the category of upgrades
3. Then again use cursor keys and Enter to select the upgrade to buy
Important: Having your mouse pointer on or near upgrades can override your keyboard inputs, so I moved my mouse completely to one side of the screen for this.
You can also use your mouse to navigate through the menus and select upgrades, I guess, but I found it awkward, as for me the clickable areas not always seem to match with the icons etc.
