Well, Enslaved wasn't the first either. The idea of an Apocalypse caused by Robots isn't that new (I think Mega Man series has also something similiar). But I get your point, I think the reason for letting people think that is that Horizon mixes the elements of a "Stone Age"-setting and this "Futuristic"-setting so well and isn't about zombies or nuclear fallout which we seen dozens of times now.
