Rank without bots?

I've been playing for a while now, at platinum now, and every game there are bots, bots, bots... I don't even remember the last time I saw a live player. I like this game, but I don't know how much longer I can stand playing against bots.
Is there a rank at which bots disappear, or at least become less numerous?

apparently all the way up in grandmaster you dont get bots anymore. i hate it, too.

I think bots are still present, yesterday I was sure that my team had one just to fill empty position. But the matchmaking times are real and ridiculous, 20 min last night...

You guys saying you're playing with nothing but bots gotta be smoking some copium over losses or something. I run into 1-2 bots maybe once a day.

All these games, in a row, were bot lobbies. There was only one other human in my team each game, at the most.

I had two back-to-back human lobbies, though! I think you can immediately tell they arent bots.

I cant add any of the bots in the bot lobbies as a friend, it will say the player has friends disabled. They also all have the same basic customization and very basic "NameNames". They dont seem to ever any extra clothes or accessories, either.

All the human players I am able to add as friends and do respond to me when I talk to them before and during the game.

I'm noticing that what you call 'bot lobbies' are you scoring very low and not getting SVP.

What you call 'human lobbies' are you scoring high and getting MVP.

It has nothing to do with the perfomance, I check in the pre-game lobby. I cant add any of the bots as friends. Why do you think that is, that every person that has a name called "NameName", has basic customization and plays like other people with "NameName" all cant be added as friends?

You literally just said you're playing with people and bots. You're nitpicking the experience to give yourself a point and it's awkward. Stop it.

Yeah, they need to pull the amount of bots but I'm willing to bet that it's just another thing being tested in Beta.

You people are treating the occasional match with bots like the end of the world. Stop it. Get some help.

There are definitely bots in these games, you'll run into plenty of "players" who do not respond to any pings, no voice comms, no chats, nothing. And if you spectate them they will wildly aim around at nothing until randomly locking onto an enemy with perfect precision. I watched a Tricera bot a while ago sit on an unclaimed point for 10 seconds doing nothing before randomly going into turret mode to shoot at an enemy.
Im finding it really hard to progress through master rank now with all these ridiculously dumb AI bots on my teams.

But its not nitpicking! At best 20% of my lobbies are against humans! At best I get one human in my team, but what does that even change?

I can see my last 20 games in my career profile:

18 bot games (where I played against 6 bots, sometimes i had 1 or 5 other humans in my team)

2 full non-bot lobbies

i won one non-bot lobby and lost one

i lost 6 bot games and won the rest, 5 of these wins I was MVP

that means in 20 games, I played against humans in two games!! Isnt that horrible? I dont want to play against bots! do you? can you share your scoreboard from your last games?

in the main menu, click on the top left, and then oepration verge. youll be able to access all the previous scoreboards

At this point, I just want to get to GM so I dont have to play against bots anymore. I lose all motivation when im in a bot game now.

Ok fine. All I do in this game is have 80% bot lobbies and then have 20% human lobbies. Do you think that is how it should be? Are you aware that it very likely is the same for you?

(though my new game just added a new bot lobby, so its 19 bot lobbies and 2 human ones)

The issue is more that bots arent transparent to the player. Do you not think that, at the very least, it is normal for me to want to give and spread feedback in a beta? Do you want the game to be released like this?

Wouldnt it be best in the beta to have no bots? Dont you get more info from human vs human games, than humans vs bots?


It seems the devs are actively hiding bots from us, with the basic customization, player titles and career info. What if they fix these things and make the bots more sneaky. Would you be happy about that? Would you want to play this game, if you had a 80% chance to get put against bots? Do you think its correct to hide bots from a player?

What about the breach of trust? It seems even you were fooled by them, saying theres only 1-2 per game, when you probably played with and against bots more than humans. Dont you feel lied to, just a bit?

I think this is important! I bet if no one ever noticed bots in the beta, they would probably stay. Like, why would they change anything if no one complained about them? Its not like our discourse will matter, but maybe enough people knowing about them will make a difference.

In the end, I just love Mecha games and want to play against humans, guaranteed. I didnt have to play against bots in Gundam Evo (at least not that I noticed?)

I dont want to roll a 6 on a dice to be allowed to have an actual proper game :(
