That is a problem and really bothers me... When its the hurricane its ok, its his mechanics, but sometimes the game simply decide to switch my aim in the middle of a fight to another mecha and its super annoying!
I know this game try to be armor core but not even close
I don't think that having or not having that system is better than the other, just a matter of preference.
What does mouse or controller have to do with anything? All the mechs have a maximum turn speed, beyond which it doesn't matter how high your mouse sensitivity is; they're still going to turn slower than you can move the mouse. Also...the game's going to launch on console, too. If you're going to be snarky, at least be right.
To OP, though, that's just part of the game. If you're fighting in melee and your enemy dashes behind you, instead of standing there trying to slowly turn around to keep them in your sights, just assume they're about to attack you and dash away (preferably, behind them, to turn the tables). You don't always need to be able to see the opponent to anticipate where they are, and act accordingly.
Plus, if you could stay permanently locked on to someone and turn on a dime, no one would ever escape from a Welkin box. Being able to juke around is the counterplay, so it's the way it is for a reason.
and it woudln't save you from a panther or a falcon either way.
so my point still stands.
