anyway about the lag, the closest i seen to that is from heat spikes making the CPU throttle your processor speed. Try a compressed air cleaning and minimum settings, or manually throttle CPU to maintain a cooler slower but stable speed?
Yo, your 100% a Tech support cause you did not look at all the evidence shown above
The second video i show state that the game is set to the Lowest setting at 1080p with a temp of 40 to 55*c so with this same the computer i use is all factory set with zero overclock done on it cause idk anything about OC and i did not want to break my pc and the 4 years warranty.
Anyhow about why i have 2 GPU... The AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D processor have an integrated GPU that is why i have 2 but the game is set to use the 4090 in NVIDIA setting. ;)
I try so many thing that i am just waiting on the Mecha Tech support to reply with new things to try cause i have no clue what else i can do so in mean time no Mecha game for me and probably other 7900 users. :<
Honestly though it must be that model in specific, I recal many folks having issues with that specific cpu in POE2 as well. I use a ryzen 9 3900x and been playing both games without issues.
Hope it's not a faulty model or something and it gets solved for you bud.
I second this. i also have a Ryzen 9 5950x and I haven't had any issues at all. I would say it could possibly be the Directx 12. I've had issues using that in other games so I usually just stick with the 11 version
Sadly i have try everything from playing with the lowest setting in both dx11/12 and every time after 10 minutes i get the same lag spike so it has to be something with them 7000 and up series. =/ I'll be waiting and hoping some fix shows up cause i am out of idea.
Mecha Tech support reply with this reply so i be waiting for maybe some patch or new reply from them during the weekend maybe or next week. ( i be updating my post if a fix if found )
Dear pilot
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
I've contacted the developers to confirm the issue, please be patient.
We will contact you as soon as we have new information.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact Mecha BREAK Customer Support. We hope you will continue to support “Mecha BREAK”.
Thank you for your continued support.
Nope we've gone down the rabbit hole it's some sort of anti-cheat issue. I have another PC that has zero issues and it's the same OS setup, drivers motherboard and RAM, except it has a 7600x and 4060 on the PC and it has zero issues. This is a 7xxx with a 4090 issue, why, no clue.
Did a fresh OS install and same problem, windows security turned off makes no difference.
Ok not going to rewrite the following since i thought Zeek is the OP. But anyway :D
Have you tried to update the bios. Maybe a newer Agesa for the 7900x3d makes a difference.
Also I see the app logo of MSI Afterburner as well as Riva Tuner for the FPS Overlay.
Try turning that off and see if it changes something.
My reason for this suggestion is (I have a 9800x3d and a 4090, swapped from a 13900k with a fresh windows install)
With the 13900k in games like Greyzone Warfare i had very bad FPS stutters every X seconds. I found the culprit for that to be the Riva Tuner Overlay for the FPS.
With the 9800X3D i had the same problem, just not with Greyzone but this time with The First Descendant. At this point i yeeted Riva Tuner off the PC.
Also maybe when the game Crashes or the Lag Spike happens, try checking the windows Event viewer, maybe there is an Error logged.
I mean the reason why the game itself crashes with that Error is, if you think about it, quite self explainatory. Since your PC is lagging out so hard, the Server detects a discrepancy between the actual game time and your game time and between the incoming and outgoing network packages. Thats why it does trigger the Anticheat to close the game.
I'm on the latest bios on both machines. I don't have any 3rd party software running even Nvidia App is disabled. So unfortunately not the problem. =\ Just seems to be 7xxx cpus with 4090s.
Sadly I am back to square 1 and will have to wait until Mecha BREAK actually do an update since I seen Zero update since Demo came out
On a side note for other with the same problem I wonder if you have the same problem I have, does your entire computer lag the heck out when you press play on there launcher as mine does?
I start to think it could be related to the " shader compiling " that might be doing maybe a bad installation but not sure.
Anyway I be waiting for some update and I might try more random thing tonight after work.
yes it's caps out logical core 1 and whole system starts to lag. Can't use apps like process hacker to even investigate the exact service or process impacting that core. Because anti-cheat hates those kinds of apps.
In performance monitor all I can see is System Interrupts goes up during the lag and CPU and GPU utilization of the game tanks. Even removing the game from logical core 1 doesn't help.

Cooler Master HAF 700 EVO (with every fan space filled, including 2x Noctua 120mm 3k rpm mofo's for exhaust fans, and 1x of the 140mm 3k one for lower front intake to help get air pushed tf to the gpu) and with custom fan curves to set all gpu and case fans to max when the gpu gets to 70c, and the cpu aio being essentially maxed all the time, I'm fairly sure airflow and heat isn't an issue, temps have always been fine even when testing with mecha break.
Windows 11
Tried max settings, lowest settings, capping fps, maximum performance in nvidia control panel, etc, nothing fixed it. Clean driver install with DDU did make it happen less frequently, but the duration was the same, and the frequency did not change much. It would also happen just being in the main menu.
