Mecha BREAK

AMD Ryzen 9 massive lag for 10~20 second every 9~10 minutes ( 2 support ticket open )
Edit / Update.
I have found a working Annoying / Temporary FIX for anyone that has the same problem as me ( i hope ) .

How i got it fix on my end 03/15/2024 :
Step 1: Start the game and Let the first big lag spike happen then Alt+F4 your game rigth after its done lagging.
Step 2: Start the game and now it should now be fine.

Wish i would of found this earlier as i have maybe 2h gameplay of not playing if that make sense due to the major lag spike.

End of Edit / Update.

Yep if you reading this... There seem to be no hope yet for us with a Ryzen 9 series CPU at the moment, GPU does not see to matter much from what i been seeing when i search " lag " on the right side ->

Pc specs The Setup [i.imgur.com]
CPU AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D Memory/Ram 64.0 GB Speed: 6000 MT/s Disk 0 Samsung SSD 990 PRO 4TB Disk 1 Samsung SSD 990 PRO 4TB GPU 0 AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics Driver version: 32.0.12033.1030 Driver date: 11/27/2024 DirectX version: 12 (FL 12.1) GPU 1 NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Driver version: 32.0.15.6614 Driver date: 11/6/2024 DirectX version: 12 (FL 12.1)

I try everything i seen from the other post with the same lag spike causing my entire pc to lag out and drop to 2-3 FPS, cpu staying at like 30% but GPU going from being used for about 10~20 seconds then causing the ACE to triger and closing the game at a 90% rate.
This lag spike happens every where in the game at exactly 9~10 minutes then keep happening every 9~10 minutes for 10~20 seconds

I currently have 2 support ticket with, one of them got closed somehow but i open a new one and tbh i feel like there laughing in my face by coming back to the close all time speed tools or other applications that may affect game security. in both Tickets when i show them 2 video plus all the file Logs there asked from your
STEAM/steamapps/common/Mecha BREAK Demo/Game/MechaBreak/Oversea/logs/MechaBREAK

Image of the Support ticket that is open [i.imgur.com]

The First video i sent them showing the error and everything that was open:
https://youtu.be/Ry7y04KHY0w?si=LbPue5QSnZ5DELg4

The second Video of the Lag spike:
https://youtu.be/iiaxNRr37do?si=JH_6iEbqAVhdPGEA

At this point i don't think they will be able to help from them as it in the first ticket it got close after they reply with a close all time speed tools or other applications that may affect game security. when they have 2 video showing them the exact like spike happening at 10 minutes.

NGL i am a bit sad cause on last beta that happen 6 months ago the game was a blast :steamhappy: but for now i will have to give up on it until new update or patch that maybe will fix this and best wish for all of you that have this exact same problem.
All i can say is is try to report it also on there main site then use the Inquiry : Report a bug.

Best of luck to you Mecha gamer

Update
I be waiting to see if any good thing happens over the weekend, till then.. MechaBREAK, Roll Out! :)

why are you using amd GPU and a second NVidia GPU? arnt you just using one at a time since they need dif firmware stuff?
anyway about the lag, the closest i seen to that is from heat spikes making the CPU throttle your processor speed. Try a compressed air cleaning and minimum settings, or manually throttle CPU to maintain a cooler slower but stable speed?

Yo, your 100% a Tech support cause you did not look at all the evidence shown above :steammocking: If... you did.. you would of know / seen that in 1 of the video i run the game on Max setting 4k and CPU and GPU temp are normal at 40 to 65*c between the cpu/gpu that can hit much higher temp.
The second video i show state that the game is set to the Lowest setting at 1080p with a temp of 40 to 55*c so with this same the computer i use is all factory set with zero overclock done on it cause idk anything about OC and i did not want to break my pc and the 4 years warranty. :steamsad:

Anyhow about why i have 2 GPU... The AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D processor have an integrated GPU that is why i have 2 but the game is set to use the 4090 in NVIDIA setting. ;)
I try so many thing that i am just waiting on the Mecha Tech support to reply with new things to try cause i have no clue what else i can do so in mean time no Mecha game for me and probably other 7900 users. :<

Oh darn, you're telling me I've been playing for 12+ hours with this issue? /s
Honestly though it must be that model in specific, I recal many folks having issues with that specific cpu in POE2 as well. I use a ryzen 9 3900x and been playing both games without issues.

Hope it's not a faulty model or something and it gets solved for you bud.

I second this. i also have a Ryzen 9 5950x and I haven't had any issues at all. I would say it could possibly be the Directx 12. I've had issues using that in other games so I usually just stick with the 11 version

Yep i see a few other talking about in here and it all seem to be a AMD Ryzen 9 7000 and up. I know my cpu / gpu that is not faulty cause i can play any other game like League of Legends or or The First Descendant at max setting 4k without a problem. There a few other with this model or like i said in the 7000+ series that have the same problem i am having atm :steamsad

Sadly i have try everything from playing with the lowest setting in both dx11/12 and every time after 10 minutes i get the same lag spike so it has to be something with them 7000 and up series. =/ I'll be waiting and hoping some fix shows up cause i am out of idea.

Mecha Tech support reply with this reply so i be waiting for maybe some patch or new reply from them during the weekend maybe or next week. ( i be updating my post if a fix if found )

It's an ongoing issue still. It's tough trying to play competitively when the game lags out for 20 seconds or so, then you get booted by anti-cheat because of time discrepancies. I hope they fix it for us 7xxx users with 4090s not sure why it's this combo that's affected. going from 240 fps down to 2-3fps sucks, but getting your game forced closed because of it sucks even more. You can get penalized if you're disconnected at the end of a match.

definitely something wrong with your pc settings or maybe your antivirus apps, im using a much lower end cpu-gpu compare to yours and it runs smoothly without any lag so far. 115hour on record and 0 lag or crash. disconnected one or twice but its my internet provider prob.

Nope we've gone down the rabbit hole it's some sort of anti-cheat issue. I have another PC that has zero issues and it's the same OS setup, drivers motherboard and RAM, except it has a 7600x and 4060 on the PC and it has zero issues. This is a 7xxx with a 4090 issue, why, no clue.

Did a fresh OS install and same problem, windows security turned off makes no difference.

Ok not going to rewrite the following since i thought Zeek is the OP. But anyway :D

Have you tried to update the bios. Maybe a newer Agesa for the 7900x3d makes a difference.
Also I see the app logo of MSI Afterburner as well as Riva Tuner for the FPS Overlay.
Try turning that off and see if it changes something.

My reason for this suggestion is (I have a 9800x3d and a 4090, swapped from a 13900k with a fresh windows install)
With the 13900k in games like Greyzone Warfare i had very bad FPS stutters every X seconds. I found the culprit for that to be the Riva Tuner Overlay for the FPS.
With the 9800X3D i had the same problem, just not with Greyzone but this time with The First Descendant. At this point i yeeted Riva Tuner off the PC.

Also maybe when the game Crashes or the Lag Spike happens, try checking the windows Event viewer, maybe there is an Error logged.
I mean the reason why the game itself crashes with that Error is, if you think about it, quite self explainatory. Since your PC is lagging out so hard, the Server detects a discrepancy between the actual game time and your game time and between the incoming and outgoing network packages. Thats why it does trigger the Anticheat to close the game.

The thing is i given up on there support as it's been the almost 2 week without a sight from Mecha BREAK Customer Support, i had already uninstalled the game but i am currently installing it again to try without MSI Afterburner or more specifically Riva Tune cause it is the one doing the display of the FPS and cpu/gpu info. I do have 0.000001% hope that this could be it because this is the only game that full lag my pc even on the lowest setting at exactly and every 9~10 minutes. I shall be back with a new reply within 15~20 min as it's almost done installing again.

I'm on the latest bios on both machines. I don't have any 3rd party software running even Nvidia App is disabled. So unfortunately not the problem. =\ Just seems to be 7xxx cpus with 4090s.

Sad news, i have spent like 6h downloading and updating my bios and lots of other drivers and every thing is update. I have try to disable 1 screen at the time also since I have 4 and did not help. I disable the ryzen 7900x3D integrated gpu without help also.
Sadly I am back to square 1 and will have to wait until Mecha BREAK actually do an update since I seen Zero update since Demo came out :lunar2019shockedpig: and hope one will adresses the 7xxx series and 4090 combo I guess.

On a side note for other with the same problem I wonder if you have the same problem I have, does your entire computer lag the heck out when you press play on there launcher as mine does?
I start to think it could be related to the " shader compiling " that might be doing maybe a bad installation but not sure.
Anyway I be waiting for some update and I might try more random thing tonight after work. :steamsad:

yes it's caps out logical core 1 and whole system starts to lag. Can't use apps like process hacker to even investigate the exact service or process impacting that core. Because anti-cheat hates those kinds of apps.

In performance monitor all I can see is System Interrupts goes up during the lag and CPU and GPU utilization of the game tanks. Even removing the game from logical core 1 doesn't help.

Oh dang, and here I thought lag spikes were cause I had it on my non-SSD because of space congestion. That said, I haven't noticed it capping out the swap file for memory, which is generally what causes it in quite a few other games, but maybe its an avenue of investigation?
Same issue here, used 4 different nvidia drivers being uninstalled and installed after using DDU in safe mode. I've had this issue before but it was with first gen ryzen when the nvidia hd audio drivers were installed. Now it's happening regardless of that, and in other games as well when it wasn't doing it back in Janurary (I haven't had much time to play games since until this demo/beta so I cannot pinpoint specifically if it has something to do with the anticheat).

Specs:
Ryzen 9 7950X
Corsair H170i 420mm
Asus ROG Crosshair X670E Extreme
64GB Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR5 5200MHz
Evga RTX 3080 12GB
Cooler Master HAF 700 EVO (with every fan space filled, including 2x Noctua 120mm 3k rpm mofo's for exhaust fans, and 1x of the 140mm 3k one for lower front intake to help get air pushed tf to the gpu) and with custom fan curves to set all gpu and case fans to max when the gpu gets to 70c, and the cpu aio being essentially maxed all the time, I'm fairly sure airflow and heat isn't an issue, temps have always been fine even when testing with mecha break.
Windows 11

Tried max settings, lowest settings, capping fps, maximum performance in nvidia control panel, etc, nothing fixed it. Clean driver install with DDU did make it happen less frequently, but the duration was the same, and the frequency did not change much. It would also happen just being in the main menu.
