The game has a free demo. Play and judge yourself. Beta is ok but full release will be a grindy pay to win mess.

The new pvp balance is garbage. To me it looks like Overwatch now, with tanks, a healer and 'dps'.
The advertised character customization is soft locked behind payments now.
The reviews are fully deserved.

F customizations, the gameplay is peak
The game is great but the massive problem is beam weapon damage. It's way too high to the point that there's no reason to even try to use mech abilities half the time unless its for mobility or defense.
At this point a lot of people are just getting beam auto cannons upgraded and then just air drop them to cheese through fights.

marvel rivals has set the new standard for competitive team based PvP. if you can't play the full roster on release, then the game is objectively garbage.

its a demo, its purely PvP, the tutorials challenges are almost impossible to do, or at least it will cost you like 20 to 40 tries, there's modular weapons (like secondary weapons) for a gamemod call mashmak (kinda battle royale PvPvE) where you have "automatic beam cannons" wich are the most OP weapon in the game and everyone is using it, the more level has (if you investigate enough and farm it like crazy), the more damage will do. Like base damage is 10k, and has 10 shots and you can equipped 2 weapons of the same, so its 20k of damage per dual shot

Games fine, it was review bombed at the start and then people started hammering it hard for some reason. Judging a beta like a final product type beat. Devs are aware of a lot of player issues and feedback and are planning to fix some of the glaring issues iirc

Might be the 34k per 3.4 secs weapons that bypass shields, its not listed as a beta its a demo meaning this is the final product just with more content unless they changed the meaning of a demo

Oh no, the triple A free to play game has non-mandatory aspects that might cost money. I'll go get the crucifix.

The Game its extremly nice, Has the best Mech controlls in games yet, Mech Designs are hilarious, Unlock mechs its not so hard, and the prices can be changing on Release. And its other as Overwatch or Marvel Rivals. I mean the game mode ideas are fresh with double payload etc...

PvP balance yeah, but it isnt only Tanks, healer, dps, its more as a Stone/paper/scissor system. Alot of Players target the wrong Mechs,

Chinese players posting valid reviews.
This game rather pretend to have esports and got pvpve mode instead of having an actual pve mode for part-farming.
No PVE == bad. Just like GBO2 the game is going down the drain, and at high ratings I'm likely going to spend 2-3 times(or worse) the time in matchmaking rather than playing, and most of the "people" I see will probably be bots so it's just PVE pretending to be PVP. Even then devs will probably still hold on to their pretentious esports dream and refuse to add proper PVE modes.

Let me elaborate:
This game is shafted by design.
For example as a pvp game you have parts that influence stats(and negative stats can be made completely irrelevant, such as melee clash recovery for mechs that do not have melee), the vast majority of which is dropped from a pvpve mode, and the casual mode has no earnings whatsoever.

According to what is available in current demo(it's called demo now, not beta), your typical MB player has 3 choices:
1. slave away at pvpve mode(an extremely awkward mix of BR and extraction shooter), probably getting stomped by people who nolifed pvpve mode(likely in premade coordinated squads, then there's your "teammates" who ran off alone and died like a b****) who already have advantage in parts/stats/gearresearch.
2. just play pvp ranked and be disadvantaged compared to those who nolifed pvpve or paid for battlepass
3. uninstall

The fact that so many "players" can't beat tutorial missions, and existence of bots in pvp mode, doesn't help either.

These issues are actually easily fixed(for example make players unable to damage eachother in msmk, and disable premade squads/partstats in ranked pvp).
But you know they likely won't fix it, because that would generate less engagement for their trend-chasing(a very late one at that) mode and thus less profit.

This has been very far from my experience of the game. And also I've had no problems beating people in the extraction mode. The vast majority of players aren't some uber sweats like you claim to be.
