Mecha BREAK

Mecha BREAK

Why are people still playing this?
You know your progress doesn't carry over on the full release, right?

I really enjoyed it, but stopped playing for the reason above. Unless I am missing something, what's the point in getting invested this early?

If you respond with "because it's fun" I get it, but omg is it going to be frustrating when you find all your progress erased at full release. I'd rather wait until then so I don't feel like my time is wasted.

"Q: Will my progress carry over after the test?
A: No. This is a data-wipe test. All game data and test access will expire after the test concludes."

If you heard otherwise, please let me know. I am eager to enjoy this more, but don't want to deal with the expected frustration later.

what "progress"? The game doesn't have any meaningful unlocks except strikers, and the more you play now the more you can know what ones you'll want first with whatever limited free new player currency there is on launch

Exactly that. I'd rather unlock strykers and get mods I can keep forever (or at least until the eventual shut down as most online games tend to).

1) Fun

2) Experience

That said, I know I am not the type who enjoys replaying games and am restraining myself from playing more because there will be a wipe.

Having to replay tutorials and inconsequential early stages in mmo type games when creating alt characters, have made me aware of how much I am put off by that kind of repetition.
The answer will forever be experience primarily.

I hope they will allow us to keep at least cosmetic things.

You and me are in the same boat. I find this game terrific, but am holding back because I know how I will feel when I feel like I have to do everything all over again.

If anything, this thread is me venting because I do want to play this more, but actually maintain a character profile, ranking, cosmetics, etc etc etc.

I wanted to understand why I had to donate Coride and box, since all progress will be erased.
Hard to understand

Can someone explain why they are gifting credits for down time and other stuff if they plan to wipe everything?

This isnt an MMO. I dont personally care about progression. IMO the actual fun of games like this is getting better than you were before.
