Mecha BREAK

Mecha BREAK

Paint quality is dumb
If I'm going to sacrifice a loot slot to collect paint why can't I get the best quality paint? Great, I got the color I want but since the rarity is green it just looks like ♥♥♥♥ when applied.
If a player wants the mech to look worn or battle damaged there should just be a slider for that instead of a random paint quality BS. Seriously hope the devs do away with this.

I think there shouldn't be varying qualities at all. If free or not I wouldn't care either way. You can pay 200 to unlock best quality paint. Although whatever paint you unlock is available for only one mech at a time, so if you want all mechs to be able to use that color you gotta unlock on all of them.

Either remove paint from drops or make it so you can see which paint it is, preferably make it so any drop will unlock it to every one of your mechs and never allow the player to drop what they have already unlocked.

There's no way I'd be collecting several random paint loot drops, so I just ignore them all, it's a horrible idea.
What does the different quality do? Are they different textures or just slight differences in shades?

The paint doesn't cover the entire surface you are painting, it gets some flaws along the edges that grow more pronounced when the quality is lower.
I think it's meant to simulate wear or battle damage but it looks really bad in my opinion.

Oooh wear effect. That's actually cool. I'd want them for that effect then.
There's also the random numbers on Metallic and Smoothness in your paint lootboxes. Getting the right color with the right stats at the right rarity is the infinite grind.

They have different coverage and colour, I'm so lucky I found 3 that's really good and fit my taste for pinaka, tricera, and panther,

Now my pinaka looks like a bootleg gundam unicorn, tricera has a construction theme on it, and I just need to find a good orange colour to change panther to tiger
