Mecha BREAK

Mecha BREAK

Dual Sniper Meta?
As much as I have been enjoying this game I have run into a consistent pattern of both sniper mechs being a common sight on the enemy team, allowing one sniper to cover the other should things get dicey. The issue with this, I feel, is how the snipers are designed.

Aquila is the heavy sniper of the team, designed to do heavy damage and able to schmoove about at the cost of being vulnerable to anybody that's aware of their existence. Narukami, on the other hand, is a stealth sniper with multiple decoys, invisibility, rapid relocation and high long-range damage that can easily support Aquila in a way that makes dealing with both of them an absolute nightmare in most scenarios. One on their own isn't a huge issue, but I've found that if they're together in a match (both pvp and pvp/pve alike) it becomes and absolute nightmare to deal with in most cases.

What do you think about this? IMO I feel like it's quite difficult to counter the two snipers if they're together, even if you're playing the melee mechs that are designed to lock down enemies.

Snipers get the odd execution but I've never seen a match in which either one of them was truly the biggest problem with the enemy team
only narukami is good, so try to sneak in and beat them, aquilla is trash so you don't have to worry about them

It's a real toss up on whether or not one of them is a trash player. Went into mashmak recently and had those two on my team, where they just sat hundreds of metres away doing absolutely nothing but taking potshots at enemies (and missing, despite having in-built aimbot).

If you think they are strong, then why you don't play them?

As falcon main player, I can easily kill Aquila and Narukami if they are in enemy team. I actually love when they are in the match because I kill then with a interval of around 15 seconds, so they are never at the match at the same time, meanwhile my team has the advantage of being 5vs4 on the point while I hold two of their dps out of the game. I would only lose the match if my teammates truly sucks and even with higher numbers still lose the objective.

I am currently high gold rank, with 0.9 death rate.
My problem with the snipers is how they can and generally kill you before you can even react to them. They are able to shoot from sooo far away that it is out of draw distance essentially. Cant kill them if they kill you and or your team well before you can even get close. Especially when they are just doing 3rd party attacks on players fighting the actuall objectives in Mahmak, so 2 are down before they even know a player was attacking them. its to the point where its every single game i play in Mashmak now. Fighting AI then killed by sniper on a mountain top that you cant even see cause they are head glitching in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mech game.

I barely see ANY sniper players tbh
dual sniper is useless against a competent falcon +aquila just make the falcon a hunting dog and aquila shoot any1 targeted by falcon

So the primary issue with 2 snipers is bad countering. The #1 top of the list method of countering any Sniper is the Falcon*. (*in the hands of a skilled pilot)

Chasing down snipers is what the Falcon is built for. People want you to think that the Naru is some MLGod but it's mid, at very best. Aquila is lower than mid because it too can't deal with how much damage a Falcon can dump in a casual swoop and it's a 'HEAVY' Sniper. Seriously, the amount of these scrubs I drop out of the air in a single match is hilarious.

Anyways, Snipers are nothing.

All hail the Falcon.

Not really an issue.
Mashmak is dominated currently by Falcon/Air raider/Welkins with dual beam autocannnons.
Narukami and Aquila are only there to stealth cap extracts or support if they are SUPER competent but are mostly a standing target.
Aquila is awfully slow, so slow that if they shoot once and don't kill the target, they are going to die in turn.
Narukami has to relocate immediatly after a shot cause boy howdy they will get hunted down.
