Literally all modern anti-cheat software is kernel based. It's the industry standard, because it's the only way anti-cheat has even the slightest chance to do anything at all (for the hour or two before cheat devs inevitably bypass it).

Would it be better if games had no anti-cheat software, instead having an actual GM staff to moderate cheating like any proper game should? Obviously. But this is not the world we live in, nor have lived in for well over a decade.

honestly its easy to understand why people get upset about anti cheat but its literally in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ everything EVERY ONLINE GAME like just take the L accept that this is the case and either play the game or do not play the game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about it being a minority IS NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING SO either SHUT UP and play OR JUST DON'T EITHER WAY the game dev's wont care.

As long as the game supports controllers, the game supports steam deck, and except 'small screen' because its obviously a handheld and you wouldnt want to carry around the whole tv in your pocket, there is no real issue with that
