Mecha BREAK

Mecha BREAK

Test Pilot challenge 8: Avoid Armor Purge.
So how many people have already pass this test? The melee stagger are too much

It does feel like this was calibrated to an earlier build with a weaker Welkin, or at least one where he didn't get a free hit in before you could even move. Closest I've come to completing it was focusing on never getting close enough for melee to matter.

You can dash out of stagger. You need to time your dashes and not spam it. And you need to parry his melee attacks. You are getting staggered by whirly things before Welkin hits you, which is a main issue. You need to dash recover from first stagger and put up your shield, to parry Welkin strike. If you button mash, you will get hit again.

Also you need to parry way before attack hit you, instead of trying to time it with attack. You get like a solid second or two of parry window, so it's very forgiving. If you can survive first box, you will have easier time practicing your timing.

skissue there's alot of ways to get out of being staggered by welkin and for one your best option is to just stay at a distance you get close to welkin I press i trap you in my box and tear you apart. stay at a distance or learn to parry and the battle changes signfigantly.

So I beat it, I avoided him entirely, I used the shield to block rockets I could not dodge and only ever pressed the w key in order to move away from him at an angle
Yeah this just doesn't seem possible with how fast your energy and shield drain, and then they're impossibly slow to recover. Basically requires hyper levels of autism to perfectly time everything.

I feel like the game has many mechanics and a cool vision of how it'd all fit together on paper but in practice it's a mess.
I killed walkin in it, with melee.

The previous tutorials pretty much told you how to cheese it.

You need to know some basic skills that are essential for pvp.

It's pretty easy when you learn the relevant mechanics here.
Seems like they haven't changed the challenges from the last open beta. You basically just have to learn how to cheese the AI. Cheese the AI applies to some of the advanced challenges for the mechs too.

a real player will just spin2win in your face when you try to block(can't perfect block those).

AI reads your block input and normal melee into it. Basically gives you free counters.

Pretty easy my cheeks. I looked it up in the earlier beta and even the person in the video only did it by pure chance after several tries.

It's split second crap that if you miss you're beaten to a pulp in a stunlock.

took me 2 tries
just dodge the rockets and mash boost when she comes close

You can press block much earlier. As long as energy shield is extended on the model, it will be a perfect block(if a normal melee hits it instead of spin2win).

If you get stunned by melee or by drones, you can boost out of the stun and try again. The previous tutorial missions told you you can do that. This game lets you do both(block and dash) at same time.
