Pfff I play Valorant that also uses a kernel level anti cheat. Million other people also do that.
Guess we are still here.
Yeah like A LOT!
Its a chinese game, risk of pay to win is 99%, risk of spyware is 200% with tencent AC.
Also funny I remember receiving a valorant invite for the beta from somewhere while people were fighting for it on twitch, didnt even know about the AC at that point (i think it came out later all the shady ♥♥♥♥), when I realized its not a Steam key i left it to rot while everyone was wasting hundreds of hours watching randoms shills on twitch for a chance to get it, hilarious ♥♥♥♥.
Western developers should be ashamed of themselves.
Valorant rightfully gets a lot of bad rep but this is literally tencent so I don't see why it should be treated any differently, if anything it could be even worse considering theres not even the slightest layer of separation between what tencent wants and what a (supposedly) western company (fully owned by tencent) like riot can do. Riot apologists always bring this argument, well here you don't even have that, its upfront about the fact its tencent so it should at the very least be treated equally until proven otherwise.
But the truth is that western, chinese or russian companies are all the same. They want the same and they do the same.
Just look how google or meta stopped fact checks because of trump and how trump simply ♥♥♥♥♥ on human rights and how intelligence services handle things when you are on the wrong page.
Couldnt care less
