However I'm 99% positive that in this case it is indeed a false positive.
Even if an anti-virus scan says the thing is fine that doesn't mean it's safe, even if an anti-virus flags it as malicious that doesn't mean it's actually malicious. Anti-virus just look at patterns and flag things based off of the patterns unless there's a specific signature to recognize it as actual malware. I made a program to make sure my Discord bot is always running, it was never uploaded anywhere and it's completely safe yet it was flagged as a trojan dropper by ESET lol. All it did was launch another program if it didn't see it running lol.
You can find the flag to report it underneath where you usually find view discussion threads on the steam page.
granted it's missing the files to run the game.
