Not working on Linux atm. Launcher opens but game doesn't start!

Not right now, Kernel level anticheat doesn't like Linux, because it can't get into the kernel.
Perhaps they will make it possible on release.

I'm on the Deck and got the game to come up, but it said that the server is undergoing maintenance.

Previous beta worked on linux and deck. It had issues like game not loading when finding a match, you had to restart and re-join match every so often.

So turns out it does run on steam deck. You can get into the game and attempt to connect (the servers aren't up of course). It gives a generic warning about hardware being too slow to run the game.

It doesn't run on desktop proton at all. The launcher is very inconsistent, and even if you do get it to come up, it does not launch the game at all. SteamDeck=1 param doesn't do anything, neither does switching to any other proton version.

I've got it to open to the launcher on desktop linux using flatpak steam. I'll see if it can join the servers when the beta is open

It doesn't appear to launch the game on linux desktop. On Steam Deck it will launch and compile shaders and get to the main menu. On desktop the launcher fails to run anything. Highly likely they've put an exclusion in the anti-cheat to allow the deck to run.

Seems like it, I hope they change that to allow the rest of the Linux distros to run the game

Game still doesn't launch on CachyOS after starting steam with -steamdeck, or adding SteamDeck=1 to launch options. Very sad.

It is in a similar state to Delta Force. Until someone bothers to find out exactly what lets Deck run the game and replicate it on desktop, only windows or handheld can play.

Just to keep this updated, it runs decently well on steam deck, rough 30-40fps in pvp matches. Whats interesting is that they have locked the game settings ala console, you can’t change anything in graphics aside from AA, frame limit, vsync.

It very obviously is set to low but seems to auto scale depending on whats on screen. Might be they have pushed a targeted build just for deck. Mouse and keyboard are supported and switch seamlessly on last input pressed.

it DOES run on steam deck, for whatever reason the anti-cheat plays ball with steamOS but no other distro
