There needs to be an option to turn off the banner announcement in the UI. There's no reason for it to stay on the screen at all times. It makes taking screenshots quite difficult.

Additionally an option for screenshots to remove the UI would also be very useful.

Otherwise just send people a message via the in-game mail to make such announcements.
