I'm seeing in game coins already. They're going that route that many have died in.

Won't work for Mecha games. Skins will be very limited, I'll tell you now. OW Reinhardt can become Optimus Prime, but the opposite is literally impossible.

I agree it's a poor idea but all companies will follow the $ if it's possible they're gonna try it. I'm not saying, once again that I agree with it, but again it's a business first. They're gonna scale the win / loss of going down the route then go with the best one that causes the least damage. Damage being expected in this industry.

I don't mind free to play but it needs to be fair to the players, not just not selling power but also not costing a fortune. The only thing I can't and won't tolerate are Gacha mechanics. I'm not paying hundreds of dollars to spin a wheel for the chance to get a skin or weapon. Just sell the skins in the store and people will buy them. Do a Battle pass if you have to, just keep the prices fair and down to earth. When you can get whole games for 15-20$ charging that for a BP or a skin is ridiculous.

Battle Pass, different rarerety loot boxes and a Shop. Welcome to free 2 play These days. The Game is fun as hell and I would probably play the ♥♥♥♥ out of it but the constant unskipable numbers go up BS after every Game annoys the hell out of me.

youre a decade too late for asking this. they've put now battlepass in a single player games. gacha trash and selling skins and battlepasses and whatever most despicable squemes to milk you over and over is the new videogame market. gotta deal with it, or just play games from simpler times

you don't need to be able to re-skin the mechs as Reinhardt?? or whatever goofy thing youre talking about

the pilots are already human avatars that they can sell human crap for
and then for the mechs all you need is new models with slightly different body parts

(not that I want to pay for skins but it can be done easily for this game)

It's a free game, play til you get bored and don't spend any money on it
